Ulduar is a massive raid located off the northern coast of the Storm Peaks. It rewards Valorous Tier 8 pieces on 10-man and Conqueror's Tier 8 pieces on 25-man. This raid is unique in that the Tier 8 pieces that drop off of one boss are different between 10-man and 25-man. There are 13 normal encounters and 10 hard mode encounters in this dungeon. Four of the hard mode encounters are progressive, with Flame Leviathan providing 5 levels of difficulty, Assembly of Iron providing 3, Freya providing 4, and Yogg-Saron providing 5. This makes for a total possible 33 unique encounters to defeat within Ulduar.

• XT-002 Deconstructor - Killing his heart during phase 2 activates hard mode

The Antechamber of Ulduar

• Kologarn
• Assembly of Iron - Killing Steelbreaker last is hard mode
• Auriaya

The Keepers of Ulduar

• Hodir - Killing Hodir in under 3 minutes is hard mode, also drops Valorous Tier 8 legs and Conqueror's Tier 8 chest
• Thorim - Defeating the gauntlet before Sif leaves activates hard mode, also drops Valorous Tier 8 shoulders and Conqueror's Tier 8 helm
• Freya - Keeping all 3 guardians of nature up activates hard mode, also drops Valorous Tier 8 gloves and Conqueror's tier 8 legs
• Mimiron - Pressing the red button in the back of the room activates hard mode, also drops Valorous Tier 8 helm and Conqueror's tier 8 gloves

The Descent into Madness

• General Vezax - Not killing any of the saronite vapors activates hard mode
• Yogg-Saron - Seeking the assistance of only one keeper activates hard mode, also drops Valorous Tier 8 chest and Conqueror's tier 8 shoulders

The Celestial Planetarium

• Algalon the Observer - Algalon IS hard mode!
