Strategy
Marrowgar goes back and forth between two phases throughout the fight. The transition from Phase 2 to Phase 1 is an aggro wipe. The boss will need to be taunted back. It's also a good idea to misdirect to the tank. Tricks of the trade puts rogues in danger due to Saber Lash, so that strategy should not be employed.
Setup
Your strongest tank in terms of both mitigation and threat should be main tanking this fight. The others are simply there to soak up the damage from the Saber Lash. They should not worry about taunting the boss.
Melee should wait until the boss is positioned before running in both at the beginning of the fight and after each threat wipe.
Ranged should spread out as to not get multiple people affected by
Coldflame.
If you have 7 healers, it is best to assign 2 to each tank, with at least one tank healer to a tank, leaving one healer to raid healer. If you don't have 7 healers, put 2 on the main tank and spread your healers around as best you can.
Phase 1
Due to
Saber Lash, the tanks must stand on top of each other. If not, they will take a high amount of damage and possibly be one shot.
Everyone must watch out for
Coldflame. This is a similar ability that Supremus used in Black Temple. Cold fire emanates from the boss and goes in a straight line. If you stand in the fire, you take a ton of damage, so stay out of the fire.
Bone Spike Graveyard will cause a few people to be impaled on Bone Spikes. Tanks don't have to worry about this, as Saber Lash makes you immune to the Bone Spike Graveyard.
Ranged DPS should quickly switch to the spikes using this macro:
/target Bone Spike
and then quickly DPS the Bone Spike down. Healers also need to heal those who were impaled, and need to check for the
Impaled debuff to determine who to heal.
Bone Spikes need to be killed immediately, or else there will either be too much healing diverted from the tanks, or not enough healing on the person in the Bone Spike, resulting in one or the other dying.
Phase 2
Phase 2 begins by Lord Marrowgar giving a raid warning saying
"Lord Marrowgar falls apart and his bones begin to spin!" When this happens, Lord Marrowgar will start randomly choosing targets, rush over to them, and attempt to hit them with
Bone Storm. Alert players need to move out of the way when he rushes towards you so that they do not take the damage

and the bleed debuff.
Marrowgar will continue casting
Coldflame during Phase 2.

Marrowgar will continue casting
Bone Spike Graveyard during Phase 2.
